the backdrop of an old quarry town in southern Virginia, Rosewood Falls tells the stories of several intersecting characters as they deal with the continuing and increasingly mysterious disappearance of the towns’ children. The series centers on Sheriff Mike Wentz, a cop hiding from his past, reluctantly thrust into the thick of an age old mystery of shadows, fear and mass disappearances. Though our story takes place in our world and in the modern day, Rosewood Falls is set in an entirely fictitious town, a town out of time, antebellum architecture, farms and produce stands, rich in history and familial connections. Something sinister is as at work, something that challenges reality and the very nature of our existence. The revelations found in the small town of Rosewood Falls will shake you to your core.
The writers, industry vet’s, Michael Massey and myself, Jaye Lowe wrote the pilot teleplay, outlined the first season and developed the series bible entirely through conference calls, Skype sessions and Basecamp. With the project packaged and meetings set for this year’s competitive pitch season we planned on adding an extra element to the pitch asics onitsuka tiger mexico 66 womens package; a high-end production of the first few minutes of the pilot, the teaser.
In order to do this we decided to test another web phenomenon, kickstarter.com, to see if crowd-funding really assists the independent filmmaker. This is an experiment which is of great personal interest to us and hope

fully to the entire indie scene. We can join together to settle the debate on crowd-funding once and for all. Here’s how; jump on over to the Rosewood Falls kickstarter page and check out the video. You can back the project and receive some cool rewards. It’s really a great concept. As a backer you can pledge any amount to the project. All you need is an Amazon.com account and you’re in business. Not a dime leaves your account unless the entire goal is met and not until the deadline has passed. Over the next thirty days you can go back to the kickstarter page and keep up with our progress. If the entire goal amount is pledged by March 7th the teaser will go into production, you’ll get your rewards and the argument will be settled.
Now, just to make sure we get everything out of this experiment I’ll be reporting back here at the close of the funding period, win, lose or draw to discuss the experiment and how crowd-funding may work for you.
If youd like to read the teaser drop me a line on Twitter and Ill get you a copy.
